The MITI-001 turns a simple log split into 4 pieces into an ingenious outdoor cooker. Simplicity itself – born out of a cooking tradition in northern Europe stretching back 400 years! ‘Miti’ means ‘log’ in Atikamekw Nehirowisiwok (a Quebec first nation’s language).
MITI-001 is easily transported, guarantees optimum oxygen input, is user-friendly and suitable for all types of pans and kettles. For use at home, at the beach or in a woodland!
The designer had a passion for fly-fishing, camping and hunting. During one of his trips in the forests of Canada, the idea came up to optimize cooking on a “Swedish torch”. Cooking on a “Swedish torch’ was invented by Swedish soldiers around 1630.
Checkout this page from the instruction booklet explaining how to use the MITI.
