More Information

These take a lot of the effort out of keeping fires going, and bringing smouldering coals back to life in seconds. Use with rocket stoves, open fires or even space-heating stoves. Essential outdoor cooking equipment.

The Elder makes for an effective, beautiful and tactile blowpipe. A beautiful gift.

What Wild Stoves think

As soon as we saw these we traded in the old tent pole we have been using for years for one of these beauties. Function and form meet in these blow pipes. We use ours lots with the rocket stoves if ever they give off any smoke - a quick blow and a flame is rekindled and you're back to smokeless cooking. Also useful for giving slightly damp wood helping hand.

Highly recommended.

Specifications

Handmade from hedgerow-sourced Elder in West Dorset. Elder is particularly suited for blowpipes as it has a soft core (which is removed) and a strong wood outer. The rough outer bark is also removed to expose the white grain.

The Elder blowpipes are rounded at both ends. Each also has a leather hook attached at one end, and bears the makers' mark.

Short: 48cm; 100g

Long: 71cm; 180g

Note, as these are handmade from natural materials expect some variation between pipes.
