A handsome charcoal stove with a base similar to the Envirofit Compact but with the addition of an insulated section, on top of which the pot rests. The base houses the charcoal, and has an adjustable slide to control air flow and rate/ intensity of burn. The charcoal site on a stainless steel grate inside the bottom chamber.

This stove utilizes the same patent pending metal alloy that we developed for our G3 Rocket Stove. Using this low cost durable metal allows us to design the chamber with features that can’t be achieved with ceramic chambers. By enclosing a majority of the chamber, some of the heat radiated from the charcoal is reflected back onto the coal bed for a more intense, clean burn.

This reflected heat (“inverse suntan” as we like to refer to it) rapidly increases the temperature of the charcoal which not only increases the amount of heat that is transferred to the pot leading to dramatically lower fuel use, but also combusts much of the carbon monoxide that would be seen in a typical charcoal stove or BBQ. This means a reduced impact on the enivornment (CO is a more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide) and less CO around the stove - so less danger to humans.

NOTE: although this is a relatively clean burning stove, NO unvented stoves (whether gas, liquid or solid fuel) or BBQs should be used in an enclosed, unventilated space like a tent or home. Even clean burning stoves and BBQs give off CO and use in an enclosed area poses a serious risk to health and life. This stove is designed for outdoor use.
