Wood Seasoning article in The Ecologist

We know that our Wild Stoves customers are a hardy bunch, who wouldn't let a bit of cold and rain keep them from outdoor cooking in all seasons. However, as winter approaches and the nights get longer there's nothing like a blazing fire under your own roof.

Luckily, Wild Stoves' Jonathan Rouse has written a helpful article in The Ecologist, with advice on the best methods of seasoning firewood.

Energy efficiency workshop

With summer now a distant memory, it seems like a good time to reflect on a successful first few months for Wild Stoves. We now have a great range of products available on the website, and have enjoyed meeting many of you at festivals and events. And of course, we've eaten many a delicious outdoor-cooked meal!

One of the highlights of the summer was our trip to Buddhafield Festival near Taunton in July, where Jonathan held a series of workshops on 'Harnessing Energy from Wood Efficiently and Cleanly'.

StoveTec BBQ?

'How are your BBQs selling?'

People often ask me how my BBQs are selling, and I (patiently, of course) point out that in fact we do not sell BBQs, but outdoor wood cooking stoves. 'Oh. So can you BBQ on them?'

Good question. I decided to find out how the sturdiest of them all, the StoveTec Rocket Stoves would perform, and here is the result.
